Woke up this morning with a well sore throat. I reckon if I don't say anything today and just eat lockets all day I'll hopefully be ok for Saturday. Have been practising my set for Saturday night.. it's really annoying as I only have one CDJ and more and more of my music is on CD nowadays. I know what I'm playing though and if it all goes to plan it should sound good. i am Djing tonight at the contemporary arts centre in Dundee so I'm going to use that as a practise run. The only good thing about Saturday is there'll be no time to get nervous as I'm on air beforehand.
so if you're bored over the weekend, you can press the red button on Radio 1 on your telly and I'll be there across the weekend, interviewing the bands and bringing you through the different sets. I'm going to bring my camera and take as many pics as i can and put them up on Monday...
the weather is supposed to be really cold up there all weekend. It feels wrong packing wellies when it's so hot in London!
How do you survive with only one CDJ? Actually I'm going to use this as an excuse to ask the geeky gear questions I have been wondering about: namely, what's your home set up, and what's your work one!
If you're the slightest bit interested mine is two Pioneer CDJs, a pair of (getting dusty) Vestax decks, Allen & Heath XONE:02. But more and more this is being replaced by my powerbook G4; a shiny new M-Audio X-Session controller and that most divisive of programs ABLETON!

How big is this weekend gonna be?! i wouldnt worry about mixin though - when you dropped Goldfinger in last night you didnt just chuck it in - though i would be worried about your throat?/!!
I'm not gonna be around this bobby belter of a w.end so I'll have to catch it later!
