Tricks and Craig am very glad you're liking Huw and myself doing Zane's show...Thursday night's mixtape is gonna be a clash of the Celtic tigers, WALES V IRELAND. All the best music to come out of both countries over an hour and a half. I'm really struggling to find some irish hip hop...

Tonight we've got Sigor Ros in session throughout the show, it should be very special.

On Friday morning I'm off to Palm springs, California to the Coachella Festival. The line up is incredible, Daft Punk and Massive Attack on the dance stage with Madonna doing a live P.A just before Massive Attack come on. It's her first festival. There's also every band you can think of from Tool to Gnarls Barkely. I'm going to take loads of photos and tell you all about it amidst the bleary eyed jetlag next week.

Right then! what festivals are you all going to? I want to go to as many as I physically can this summer. So far the list is as follows,

Coachella,
Run To The Sun
Wireless @ Hyde Park..have you seen the line up for the sunday? dj shadow, massive attack, gnarls?
Celtronic in Derry
Oxygen in Ireland
Global Gathering
Creamfields
Reading/Leeds
Bestival

I reckon there's easily more I could go to ... I need inspiration!

Oh poor Miss Mac, all those festivals to go to this summer. I bet you hate your job don't you?

I'm off to Wireless (Harewood House) to see Massive Attack & DJ Shadow and then the 48 hour party that is Global Gathering (can't wait to see Daft Punk!) Are you playing GG this year?

Looking forward to the show tomorrow, as always. I'll be listening out for 'Popper'...quality tunage!

Noooo, don't mention festivals. Just found out today that Ticketmaster have seriously messed up - leaving me and three friends with only 2 T in the Park tickets instead of 4, we bought them when they release the first round of tickets too so it's been booked since july last year! er, don't suppose you need anyone to carry your records Annie...

impressive list of festivals so far. due to lack of money and work i've only got one at the moment, but i think i've chosen pretty well. it's all about the Glade festival this year.
Best thing about it is, location & line-up is all kept under wraps until 3 weeks before we go.
    I do love a surprise!

thanks for all your tips... That Tryptich thing in Glasgow sounds amazing! i didn't know roxanne Shante was still gigging..I can't do Sonar as i am playing in Fabric and Northern Ireland that weekend..I love the Glade thing of not giving anything away, it means there has to be a real trust between punter and promoter and a real love the festival itself as well as the line up.

And Tricks, surely there is something you can do about the ticketmaster mess up? it's not your fault! can't you kick up a fuss?

Hey adam..Exit is an amazing festival. It is situated on the banks of the river Danube and the festival itself is held in the grounds (including moat) of a huge castle. The line up is massively varied, there's loads of metalheads there as well as a massive dance contingent and the people are really really nice. The best bit is that you can go there and spent 3 or 4 days there and come home for the same price as a Glastonbury ticket. it is SO CHEAP.

    Hi,
I was all excited about going to the glade festival this year as I had been to the last two and had a fantastic time. Arrived Friday night and began enjoying the festival. Fab night until the following morning. A friend of mine had got in without paying which I thought was very wrong. Any way he decided to try and take a wristband off a sleeping man and he woke up ! He got reported and the security came down. Obviously he should have been removed (no problem with that, he hadn't paid) But when the security came over the were very aggressive, insultive and provocative. This was not acceptable. YES he should of been removed but the laid in to him verbally, like he had just stolen the crown jewels!! There were about 5 security guys being very aggressive toward him so we spoke up and said come on your being a bit hard. OK he needs to leave we totally understand that but they we’re acting as though he was a serious criminal. Because we spoke up (we’re all very calm people) they then started picking on everyone else. YOUR OUT and YOU and so on. They took our friends away and after about 10 minutes they were back harassing us. This provoked a girlfriend of mine to chuck a shoe. Again they came down extremely hard. RIGHT YOUR OUT ! They put her in a 4 wheel drive with 4/5 other security guys. My other girlfriend saw this and asked to go with her as she was not happy that it was one girl with all these security guys. She was bluntly told no ! She then told them again that she was not happy with one girl going in the vehicle with all those men, the security guy then grabbed my friend head and pushed it to the ground hitting her head on the ground. She got up and was then put straight in the car and taken out of the festival.
I later found out that after the security men had taken my two girlfriends out of the festival they continued to chase and harass them up the road until the girls knocked on a local houses door to get away from the security men !! By this time they were a bit hysterical and very scared.
A totally bad experience received from rude, non-people person skilled, aggressive, arrogant, ignorant men using their job position to frighten people into submission.

I then met up with all my friends at the gate after about half an hour when things had calmed down. The manager then cam down and apologised for the incident and offered to let us back in !! Talk about an insult. Any way we politely refused and went home.

Thanks very much to reading this complaint. We have reported it to the police. Also the Glade who have now offered free tickets to use for next years festival.

    Many Thanks

    Jenny
