THE SEARCH FOR STU BOY ROY

ah the magical powers of sleep. I feel like a new woman, and I am just coming to terms with how amazing this blog is.

so far from your input I have concluded 2 things.

1) You all fancy producer Rachel.

2) Last night's Stu Boy Roy minimix was off the hook.

If you haven't heard it yet, listen through to the show again and it's at the very end. It was a mish mash of hip hop with the odd D&B tune thrown in for good measure and it was done brilliantly. Some of you have mentioned similarities to Yoda's minimix, I think it's quite like Aussie breakbeat producer Friendly's or Krafty Kuts and A Skills. We received a black CD with Stu Buy Roy written on it and an e-mail. Rachel has mailed him today to find out who he is. Rach have you heard anything back?

Welcome to the world of blogging Annie. Producer Rachel is lovely but I can't say I fancy her. Sorry to let down the team.

Totally digg'n Similou right now because of you.

Listen to you always. All the way from across the pond in Chicago--usually while making supper and drinking wine with my mates.

Keep it up. You're the cutest DJ EVER!!!!

Annie. What can I say. You play right-good choons. I especially like the up-n-happy stuff. Similou is ace and will be a Summer tune for me. In fact all the happy stuff reminds me of summers- having a good time and dancing like bonkers! Keep up the good work eh. Keep smiling (I can tell you do- it just comes accross). Ace show!!!

I listen again as I live in San Francisco but once is never enough!!

Next weeked I will be off to the Coachella Music Festival in Indio to see Mylo, Massive Attack, Giles Peterson, Gnarls Barkley, Paul Oakenfold....and Madonna....can't wait.

The Cuban boys were hilarious! I love the Similou track and "pop a cap in your ass" is awesome too.

Thanks for making the week's end a great event.

    Keep it up....

    WE'VE FOUND HIM!

Stub Boy Roy e-mailed me last week. He resides in sunny Leeds and studys history and has been DJing for 6 or 7 years. Here's a quote

'i enjoy to blast out beastie boys, tribe called quest, wu-tang, ugly d along with an array of dn'b and hip hop mash ups at drunken party's across leeds...when i'm playing tunes i'm not stumbling around thinking i can dance...which is beneficial to everyone!'

A man after my own heart. Thank you for revealing yourself Stu.

If you want yourself a copy of Stu Boy Roy's minimix straight from the 8-track, get it at www.themixingbowl.org

The infamous Stu Boy Roy left Annie's copy of his minimix CD in my car, because he didn't have anything to seal it up with, leaving me to tape up his package, buy stamps, and to send it in to Annie. Slacker!
Hope you all enjoyed his mix as much as I did
