Verse 1) Society has forgotten what love means,
but I haven’t forgotten what you mean to me.
Sometimes people say love to mean something else.
But for me, I can’t love that and love you as well.
Like is not the same as love.
Liking is easy, love not so much.
Love is sometimes said to be a gift from above.
But love is just love, nothing more.

I want to see things as they are.
And not compare things to ‘shiny cars’ or stars.
Superficial love is wrong.
Yet I can still be the one, who writes the song, and still fall for.

Verse 2) People can confuse physical and emotional,
is that what happens when the emotion tubs full?
Is the word love over or under used?
We should all think twice before we say “I Love You”
