Entry to the Portrait Design Competition by Rachel who attended a FREE Blast on Tour workshop in the Isle of Wight. This design is for Ed Sheeran. Rachel says: Ed Sheeran's music is an acoustic style, so his guitar features heavily and is very important in his music. He wanted an image that represented his personality, I chose to hand draw his guitar to show the importance and love he has for it also I think it shows that his music can be diverse like how his album cover uses mixed media..pencil is an organic material, so it relates to the image that he wanted… to be down to earth and not seen as famous or someone you cant relate to. The guitar sets off the portrait and can even be a portrait in its own right showing his passion for music and through simple raw pencil art.
