People are being urged to bag a bargain at the market from Monday – Saturday 8.30am – 4.30pm. The market will be closed on Thursday 25 and Friday 26 December as well as Thursday 1 January. It will be open for business on Saturday 27, Monday 29, Tuesday 30 and Wednesday 31 December. Rubbish collectionsThe council’s refuse collectors will carry out normal collections up to and including Friday 19th December and resume normal collections from Saturday 12th January. ![]() Primary School choir All borough residents will receive three collections during the holiday period.Monday Dec 22 will be collected the previous Sat Dec 20 If you are normally a Tuesday Collection:Tuesday 23rd Dec will be collected the day before on Monday Dec 22 If you are normally a Wednesday Collection:Wednesday 24th Dec will be collected the day before on Tuesday Dec 23 If you are normally a Thursday Collection:Thursday 25th Dec will be collected the day before on Wednesday Dec 24 If you are normally a Friday Collection:Friday 26th Dec will be collected the three days later on Monday Dec 29 ![]() Christmas fun Green waste Christmas breakBorough residents are reminded that green waste collections in Dudley will take a winter break after Friday 19th December, resuming on Monday 2nd February 2009. Calendars will be distributed to households across the borough during January with details of their collections for 2009. Residents are reminded to make the most of the collections through the remainder of November and December before the winter break takes place due to a drop in demand. Residents are also reminded that the civic amenity site will continue to accept green waste during the period that the collection service is suspended. The civic amenity site will be open throughout the Christmas period but will be closed from 3pm on Christmas Eve and all day on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day. The site in Birmingham Street, Stourbridge, is open 8am to 6pm on weekdays and 8am to 4.30pm on weekends.
