More featuresYou are in: Black Country > Features > More features > Wolverhampton Marathon 2007 ![]() Wolverhampton Marathon 2006 Wolverhampton Marathon 2007The 2007 Carver Wolverhampton City Marathon, Half Marathon, Relay Challenge and Cycle Event will take place on Sunday 2nd September 2007. ![]() Wolverhampton Marathon 2006 On September 2nd, cyclists and wheelchair athletes will be setting off from West Park at 9.20am, the Relay Challenge begins at 9.25am. The Full / Half Marathon starts at 9.30am. The route will be the same as previous years, and will finish at Wolverhampton's West Park. Full Marathon runners will have to tackle two laps of the 13 mile course, while athletes in the Half Marathon including wheelchairs will complete one lap. The Cycle event route has been reduced this year to a 15k event (just under 10 miles). For the Relay Challenge, teams of five will run about 2.5 miles to make up just over one full lap of the course ![]() Wolverhampton Marathon 2006 This will be the tenth annual Wolverhampton City Marathon. Over the years, the event has helped raise thousands of pounds for local charities. Over 2,500 people participated in the event in 2006. This year the proceeds will be split equally between the following charities: The Mayoral Charity Fund 2007, Wolverhampton Rheumatology Support Group, Wolverhampton & Midland Counties Eye Infirmaries League of Friends and St Anthony's Cheshire Home.
