Ghostly Sightings Team Investigation - Olde Foundry, Dudley - 22nd October 2006Members present: Tina, Adrian, Iky, Jon, Melissa and Emma. Guest: Sharon The investigation got off to a great start as within 2 minutes of entering the premises a ‘cold spot’ was picked up in the darts room. This proved to be a useful connection for later in the investigation. The team members started the investigation by holding their first séance in the bar area. Whilst doing the séance (using a glass and table) they picked up the spirit of someone who was young, male and seemingly friendly. We didn’t get a name but he was thought to be someone who used to frequent the bar during his lifetime. Dark shadows | | The glass nearly falls during a séance |
While the séance was progressing several dark shadows were spotted walking about the pool room. Could this be the gentleman who frequents the ‘ice room’ and turns on the hand-drier in the ladies loo? Would we be able to connect to him later? Tina was initially unable to go down the stairs to the cellar due to an unfriendly presence at the top of the steps but Adrian and Sharon bravely volunteered to go down there to try tuning in to whatever was around. Meanwhile the séance work continued for the remainder of the team and, at one point, Iky saw a shadow’s reflection in the mirror. At that same moment Tina saw something dark pass by the bar to the left of the team. This was thought to be the same young man who was picked up during the earlier séance. Whilst this was taking place Adrian and Sharon picked up the energy of an older man in the cellar who was not too friendly. He wasn’t too happy to have their company so we decided to lock off the camcorder down there for an hour to try to capture any spiritual activity. Further glass and table séances were held in 2 different areas of the building. Adrian led Iky and Emma in a séance in the pool room and contacted a spirit of a man, possibly the ‘ice room’ energy. He was thought to be a formidable character with a strong presence. Beckoned towards the cellarTina led Jon and Sharon in the séance in the dart’s room again using the glass and table. No conclusive message was received but the glass moved continually to the very edge of the table leading towards the cellar steps. It was soon evident that we were being beckoned down there and the team decided that a vigil was needed down there.  | | Making contact with the young girl in the cellar |
Tina eventually found the courage to venture down with Jon and Iky and felt tearful on arriving at the bottom of the stairs. She had the feeling that someone, a female, was very unhappy down there. In the cellar, the first séance with Adrian, Sharon, Emma and Jon picked up young lady who it is thought took her own life. The second séance with Tina, Iky, Emma and Jamie (staff member) picked up the same lady. She wanted to ‘move on’ as it is thought she is afraid of someone upstairs. Was this the young man in the bar area? Or the old man with a liking for ladies toilets and the ‘ice room’? Female spirit | | Jon, Emma, Adrian and Iky brave the ice room area |
During the séance scraping sounds were heard in the room and the presence of the young female was sensed and shadows were seen moving about the cellar. Although nothing definite materialised it was strongly felt that she had been close to the team and several members sitting around the table were touched or their hair lightly stroked. The female spirit was reluctant to let us go and only did so with the promise that we would be back with someone who would help her ‘move on’. Ice room séanceAfter a short break and much discussion of the cellar events we held a séance in the ‘ice room’ area. Jon felt a very strong, masculine energy next to him and had the sensation of something heavy, like a mask, across his face. The team also heard a noise in ice room which sounded like plastic packaging being disturbed but no one was in there. All team members were aware of something in that area and the energy was very ‘heavy’. Trick of the light? | | Are these really orbs? |
To finish the long night Adrian, Jon, Iky and Emma held a séance in the pool room and picked up a strong, male energy again. The energy was asked to move the white ball that was on the pool table and one team member thought it had moved slightly. A trick of the light? Who knows! It was a really scary night in a real haunted pub. Landlord and lady couldn’t do enough for us. A fantastic night and another successful investigation for the GhostlySightingsTeam! |
