Oisin and Alice are standing on a stage.
NARRATOR: Hello kids! Today we’re going to talk about 'belonging'. Do either of you belong to any groups?
OISIN: Yes, I’m in the school orchestra!
A violin and bow pop into Oisin’s hands and he starts to play.
NARRATOR: Well played Oisin. What about you Alice?
ALICE: I’m in the football team!
*A football appears and Alice kicks it towards the screen. It knocks the camera sideways a little. *
ALICE: Oops!
NARRATOR: Careful now Alice! You’ll both know then what it feels like to belong to a group. There are lots of different types of groups you can belong to. For some people, the most important group you can belong to is your family!
Photos appear on screen of Alice with her granny and Oisin with his parents.
OISIN: I feel all warm and snuggly when my mum hugs me.
ALICE: I love it when my granny tucks me in at night.
NARRATOR: These are all feelings of belonging.
Cut to the exterior of a Christian church. We see two people greeting each other with a hug.
NARRATOR: Christians belong to the family of the Church. They feel united, sharing with every other Christian who believes in God like they do, and caring for each other. Christians also believe that God loves them unconditionally. This means that God’s love is a gift to them, and God will always love them no matter who they are or what they do.
