Cal: OK. All set Mohammed?
Mohammed: Ready Cal.
Cal: OK Bunny. You all set?
Bunny: Set for what?
Mohammed: We’re starting a band.
Bunny: Awesome. I’ll go get my drum kit.
Cal: We don’t need instruments, Bunny. Watch this.
Cal: Bunny, tap your tummy twice, straight after I clap.
Bunny: Wow. I have music in my tummy.
Cal: You’ve got rhythm Bunny! Rhythm is a pattern of sounds.
Mohammed: I like picking a word to make a rhythm. Like… Mohammed!
Mohammed: Mohammed. Mohammed. Mohammed.
Cal: Oh cool. Let me try that! Mohammed. Cal. Mohammed. Cal. What do you think Bunny?
Bunny: We’ve got ourselves a band. Ok fans! Your turn. After we say our names, you say yours and clap your hands to the rhythm! Here we go.
Cal: Cal.
Mohammed:* Mohammed.
Bunny: Bunny.
Cal: Cal.
Mohammed:* Mohammed.
Bunny: Bunny.

Rhythm
A rhythm is a repeated pattern of sounds.
You can use different words to make a rhythm too.
These sounds give a steady beat in music that helps people to sing and dance along.
