Watch – Explore new dance words
Everyone is enjoying the music but no one’s dancing. That’s ok, just take it one step at a time and express yourself!

Disco lights are beaming through the doorway and lighting up the windows
Inside the school hall music is playing.
A teacher is DJing while Daisy and Josh look on bobbing their heads.
Everyone’s enjoying the music, but no one’s dancing.
Daisy and Josh are looking reserved and embarrassed.
That’s ok, there is no right or wrong way to dance. It’s about expressing yourself.
Daisy and Josh feel encouraged.
We can dance to show how we feel about music, by moving in different ways.
Daisy and Josh move to the middle of the floor ready to dance.
DJ, if you will please. Everyone hit the middle of the dancefloor.
Ah yes, a floaty and smooth piece of music.
Josh moves to the middle of the floor and starts to move.
We can sweep our arms in large loops. Curl and swirl, stretch and whirl.
Amazing! DJ what have you got next.
The music changes to a jerky electro disco type song.
A ha yes! This music is jerky and quirky. How does it make you feel?
Daisy starts moving in a super jerky way
Excellent energetic dancing, how about one more.
The teacher DJ spins the decks and a hip hop (country) big beat starts to play.
Daisy and Josh gather around the middle of the dancefloor and clap to the beat.
Hip hop hoedown amazing!
The teacher comes out from behind the decks and starts hopping.
Daisy and Josh join in and everyone is hopping around the dancefloor.
Not that kind of hop, but hey why not. Go for it!
Everyone is smiling and having a great time.
