What is rhyming?
Words that rhyme have the same sound.
For example, 'Cheese' and 'peas' are words that both have the same sound.
You can write rhyming poems by using pairs or groups of words that use the same sounds.

Narrator: In order for words to rhyme they need to have the same sound.
This Chef wants to cook a poem.
In order to make the perfect poem, chef needs to pick two words that rhyme.
Chef is going to start with this word:
Chef: Peas!
Narrator: Stop it chef! You need to cook the word first.
Now he needs to find a word that rhymes with 'peas'
Chef: Cake!
Narrator: Hmmm, I’m not sure cake and peas rhyme very well Chef so I wouldn't-
Nope! Those words don't sound alike at all. Try another.
Chef: Cheese!
Narrator: Ah ha!
Perfect! Cheese and peas rhyme because they sound alike.
Now the chef can make a delicious rhyming poem!
