The quality of AI generated images is constantly improving, and it can sometimes be really difficult to identify whether an image is real or artificial. AI is getting so good that it even recently fooled the mother of pop star Katy Perry!
We challenged WWE Superstars Damian Priest and Gunther to a game of 'Artificial or Real' featuring their fellow wrestlers to see whether they could spot the AI images… watch the video to find out how they got on!
Damian: El Campeon Damian Priest here. I'm about to do this quiz Real or Artificial on BBC Bitesize Other Side of The Story. Let's get it on.
Gunther: The first picture I have here is The Rock. He looks very polished, but he's a polished guy overall, I think.
Damian: His suit looks so perfect though. I'm gonna go with, I think this is AI.
Gunther: I would think that's not a real picture.
Damian: It's an AI, it was a little too perfect for me.
Gunther: Cody, yeah that's a real picture, 100%.
Damian: When I'm looking at the face and that face looks a little too clean. Oh it was real. Wow. I thought it was an AI.
Gunther: The next picture we have here is Logan Paul,
Damian: Again, it looks like a normal picture to me.
Gunther: It looks a little bit Photoshopped. I would say it's an AI generated picture.
Damian: I'm gonna go with AI. Wow, it's real like, I'm trying to find reasons that they're not.
Gunther: And next we have John Cena.
Damian: Looks like a cool picture to me.
Gunther: In a very nice to suit I have to say. I like a black tie suit.
Damian: I'm gonna go with real.
Gunther: I would almost think it almost looks a little bit animated, I have to say. Let's give it a try. It was AI generated.
Damian: Okay. Alexa.
Gunther: Is that meant to be Alexa Bliss? That's not how she looks like. Yeah that's an AI picture.
Damian: Just again, these pictures just, they all look so real. I'm gonna go with AI.
Gunther: That was very easy one kids. Don't fall for it.
Damian: Ah, my hommie, Rhea. I'm gonna be in trouble if I get this one wrong!
Gunther: That looks like a very natural shot, I would say.
Damian: Yeah, I think that's a real picture. I'm gonna go with real. Ehh! Alright.
Gunther: Damian Priest.
Damian: Me. Oh no!
Gunther: Congratulations to him, he's just won the World Heavyweight Championship. That background doesn't make a lot of sense, I think. I think, I think it's an AI picture.
Damian: I mean, it looks like a normal picture. I've seen this picture going around. So I'm going to go with real. Okay, good.
Damian: The Undertaker. Now, I know his tattoos. These don't match. So I'm going to go with AI.
Gunther: I would think that it's an AI generated picture. He looks like an action figure more than. And also his face. And I was right, see I didn't do too bad on this right?
