• Mae gan siapiau 3D dri dimensiwn - hyd, lled a dyfnder.
• Mae sgwâr yn troi’n giwb ac mae gan giwb 6 wyneb sgwâr. Mae ciwb wedi ei ymestyn yn gwneud ciwboid. Mae ganddo 2 wyneb sgwâr a 4 wyneb petryal.
• Mae triongl yn troi’n byramid. Mae gan byramid sylfaen sgwâr 4 wyneb trionglog ac 1 wyneb sgwâr. Gellir cael pyramidiau gyda gwahanol sylfaen hefyd.
• Mae cylch yn troi’n sffêr. Mae ganddo un wyneb crwn.

Notes for parents

After watching the video, students will know the following:

• 3D shapes have 3 dimensions - length, width and depth.
• A square turns into a cube and a cube has 6 square faces. A stretched cube is called a cuboid, it has 2 square faces and 4 rectangular faces.
• A triangle turns into a pyramid. A square-based pyramid has 4 triangular faces and 1 square face. Pyramids can have bases of different shapes.
• A circle turns into a sphere. It has one round face.
