Tymheredd

Mae tymheredd yn radd o boethder neu oerder rwyt ti'n gallu ei fesur drwy ddefnyddio thermomedr. Mae tymheredd yn cael ei fesur mewn graddau o'r enw Fahrenheit (°F) a Celsius (°C).

Isod, mae llun thermomedr. Mae'n darllen tymheredd 30 °C.

Temperature

Temperature is a degree of hotness or coldness that can be measured using a thermometer. Temperature is measured in degrees in Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).

Above is a picture of a thermometer. It reads a temperature of 30 °C.

Rhifau negatif

Mae thermomedr yn dangos rhifau negatif hefyd. Mae'r rhain yn rhifau sy'n is na sero (0).

• Mae rhifau positif yn rhifau sy'n fwy na sero: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 ac yn y blaen.
• Mae rhifau negatif yn rhifau sy'n llai na sero: -1, -2, -3, -4, -5 ac yn y blaen.

Rwyt ti'n gallu defnyddio llinell rif i drefnu rhifau positif a negatif. Nid yw sero (0) yn bositif nac yn negatif.

Negative numbers

A thermometer also reads negative numbers. These are numbers that are lower than zero (0).

• Positive numbers are more than zero: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc.
• Negative numbers are less than zero: -1, -2, -3, -4, -5, etc.

A number line can be used to order negative and positive numbers. Zero (0) is neither positive nor negative.
