Notes for parents

After watching the video, students will know the following.

• 3D shapes have 3 dimensions - length, width and depth.
• A square turns into a cube and a cube has 6 square faces. A stretched cube is called a cuboid, it has 2 square faces and 4 rectangular faces.
• A triangle turns into a pyramid. A square based pyramid has 4 triangular faces and 1 square face. Pyramids can have bases of different shapes.
• A circle turns into a sphere. It has one round face.
