Climate champion: Theo (8) - Norfolk, England

Nothing is stopping Theo from his mission to protect seals in his local area. Theo is an inspiration to his friends and local community and often takes toy seals on his litter picks at the beach. Take a look at the video to find out what else Theo does to help protect the environment.

Leo (8) - London, England

Leo is an ambassador for the Cheetah Conservation Fund and has raised more than £1000 for the charity by selling badges and writing his own book.

Leo’s creative skills have helped him on his mission to inform and inspire others, and he has his own YouTube account where he talks about different animals and their behaviours and habitats.

In 2021, he was awarded the ‘Points of Light’ award from the Prime Minister for his YouTube channel and using his voice to protect wildlife.

Shaan (9) – West Midlands, England

To do his bit for the planet, Shaan created an eco-blog in 2020. On this blog, Shaan inspires others to make a positive impact on the environment. The blog has been a huge success and he now has almost 10000 followers.

Shaan’s efforts are not just online, he helped his school in running a meat-free day in the canteen. Shaan’s next stop is to campaign for clean air around schools by contacting his local Member of Parliament.

Scarlett (7) – West Sussex, England

Scarlett has taken action after being inspired by her idol, Greta Thunburg. Scarlett led her own climate change protest at her school and created signs to march outside the school gate with.

Scarlett is not just active at school, but also at home; she builds bird feeders and hanging baskets for bees, as well as her own compost bin and wormery. Scarlett loves all kinds of animals and insects, including the snails she saves from pavements on her way to school.

Evie (9) – Cornwall, England

Evie is passionate about cleaning beaches, so much so that she has been doing it in her local area for 3 years. When out cleaning on the beach, Evie litter picks almost every day during her school holidays and most weekends.

Evie has her own Instagram page where she tries to inform others of the issues if litter on the sand dunes in her local area – she has over 1000 followers.
