GEORGE: I remember as a child, every street 'ad their own unofficial midwife, and if, like, my mother went in labour several several times......come from a big family......an' we used go across to old Mrs Baker, who always wore black, er, why I don't know, and she used to come across, get Mom ready, until the midwife arrived. And that's, that 'elped to build up all this, all this communal spirit.
