The 'Race for Life' is a series of women-only events which raise a lot of money for Cancer Research (however there's nothing to stop the men giving their support from the side-lines).
The event is a 5km walk or run (there's no pressure to be Paula Radcliffe) and the participants get sponsored by friends/family and work colleagues.
This year it's the 10th anniversary of 'Race for Life'. Since it started in 1994, it's raised £35 million for Cancer Research.
On Wednesday 18th June, the 'Race for Life' was held at Cannon Hill park in Birmingham. It was a great event with a really positive message.
It was the taking part that was important so congratulations to all those who entered the race - and well done to Lucy Tomaney who was the first past the finish post.
