Birmingham Town Hall

The historic building isn't due to open its doors for a few more weeks after closing them in 1996 to undergo restoration works.

Yet somehow Cayte - along with her trusty video camera - managed to blag herself a tour of landmark site.

She was allowed into the roof and other areas that the public would usually never see, had a chat with Carl Chinn about the building's history and interviewed Town Hall manager Simon Wales.

Birmingham Town Hall will re-open on 4th October 2007, with a two week long festival marking the occasion.

At the festival - Symphony Orchestra

The festival based on the theme 'Celebrating the Past, Pioneering the Future', will feature a wide variety of local talent.
