BBC Radio Berkshire and six local schools have launched a project to help provide a congratulatory meal to a deprived school in South Africa. Our reporter Karnagie Sharp is in South Africa to help get the project off the ground. |
 | |  | On Tuesday April 27 South Africa celebrates 10 years of democracy. BBC Radio Berkshire and five schools in the county have launched a project to help provide a congratulatory meal to a deprived school in South Africa. The schools are: Slough Grammar school Westgate Secondary Modern school, Slough Windsor Boys school Highdown School, Emmer Green Blessed Hugh Farringdon School, Southcote Kendrick Girls School in Reading. Each school will raise £100 to help pay for a meal for 1200 children at Nondhlevu Secondary in Kwa-Zulu Natal. The meal will be presented to the Secondary school on the Thursday April 15 as a gesture of congratulations from BBC Radio Berkshire and the five Berkshire schools to young adults celebrating democracy.
