This time round the scene was set for a grand reunion, luckily without any bun fights...or were there? ![]() Original Belle in a bun fight with some new girls Windsor's Oakley Court Hotel staff should have been cowering in fear. The original Belles of St Trinian's descended on the grand hotel for a special reunion, featuring not only the original naughty school girls from the 1954 film, but also some of the young girls featuring in the 2007 remake. But luckily this time round there weren't any bun fights, flour showers or hockey stick hullabaloos in sight, as was usually the norm in the St Trinian's films. Instead, there was high tea, a presentation, and a showing of the original 1954 film, which starred Alistair Sim as both Miss Fritton (in drag) and her brother Clarence, and George Cole as Cockney spiv Flash Harry. ![]() Oakley Court Hotel - posed as St Trinian's in 1954 Organised by Annabelle Heath, who played Maudie in the 1954 film, the original Belles shared many memories at Oakley Court, which itself featured in the original film as the exterior school building - so a fitting place for a reunion. The original Belles' younger versions also turned up, including the twins in the 2007 remake, who arrived just in time for Annabelle to (almost) pelt them with a bun! The actresses share their memories of the film and more with you below. Click on the audio links below their photos to hear their stories. ![]() Lorna Henderson now, and as Princess Fatima

"One of my most favourite ones (scenes) was with Alastair Sim when he was playing his brother Clarence when we were first at the school - he wouldn't let me get my lines out and he kept making me laugh so we did seven takes - which is unheard of!" "The other one was going on was Alistair Sim was now the woman - Miss Fritton and asking me for my money back. Again I couldn't stop laughing." ![]() Annebelle Heath then, as Maudie, and now
Help playing audio/video Extract: "On the days we were working a big limousine would come pick us up, sometimes it was just for me, sometimes we shared it. For a normal kid that was really something." "I can't believe after all these years we've done this (the reunion), it's been amazing. "I went to the premiere and all the new girls could not believe that I was in the original film. They all showed such interest I thought if we're going to have a reunion, let's have it with both (sets of girls)." ![]() Diana Day, who played Jackie West
Help playing audio/video Extract: "The first day's filming was the dormitory pillow fight and that was quite shocking. When the actual filming started, men appeared at the top of the scenery and they were chucking pillows, feathers, flour and you didn't know what was happening because that wasn't the way we rehearsed it! "The studio was in such a mess they couldn't use the studio for a whole week!" ![]() 2007 St Trinian's school girl Amelia Wall
Help playing audio/video Extract: "I didn't expect to get the chance to meet them (original Belles) but it's really cool because they all have a similar experience. "All of the first years had oil and black soot all over their faces. It was so funny because they all went in (to make-up) looking like little angels. I think they were supposed to look like they'd been in an explosion!" ![]() Marigold Russell now and as original Belle
Help playing audio/video Extract: "I rode the horse up the steps at one point and had a picture smashed over my head and all sorts of things!" last updated: 20/05/2008 at 14:18 Have Your SayAre you a fan of the 1954 film?
