Runners are seeing how many people they can fit into portable loos

Runners in America have started challenging one another to see who can fit the most people into a portable toilet at a time. Because…er, well, we’re not quite sure actually.

If you’ve ever been to a music festival in the UK, then you won't be unfamiliar with the concept of hordes of men and women packing themselves into portable toilets. What is it they do in there, by the way? What kind of shared experience are they having? Nothing illegal we hope…

Anyway, the porta potty challenge takes this idea to the next level…

It seems to be almost exclusively long-distance runners who are taking part in this new ‘thing’, which makes sense, given their need to attend portable loos during races.

What we’d really like to see is 40 All Blacks squad members trying to pack themselves into a portable toilet. THAT would be a challenge…
