Is this the most bizarre story of 2016?
There's quite a lot of competition but yes folks, you read the headline right. Princess Beatrice has apparently slashed Ed Sheeran's face with a sword at a party.
And it gets weirder...
She was pretending to knight James Blunt at the time.

It sounds like Beatrice swung the ceremonial sword over her shoulder without realising the singer was behind her.
And as she said “arise Sir James”... well it all went horribly wrong.
Ed was reportedly rushed to hospital for stitches.
But he's posed for pictures with fans since then and seems to be doing just fine.

Apparantly he was a paid a whopping £200,000 up front for a VIP performance in Dubai.
But Drake fans were left disappointed when he didn't turn up.
