A multi-storey go-kart race track will soon return joy to the world

If you're a go-kart fan - or just addicted to a certain type of video game - then you best steel yourself for the ultimate thrill ride.
Construction is currently underway on the Niagara Speedway, a multi-level, spiralling race track, at Clifton Hill, an entertainment strip located at the famous Niagara Falls site on the US-Canadian border.

The resort shared the above image of the four-story track's work in progress on its Instagram page, while the company building it has said they're working towards a Spring 2018 launch, external.
Some people are celebrating the upcoming resort feature as a real-life Mario Kart opportunity - and Clifton Hill even cheekily added a #MarioKart hashtag to their promo picture on Instagram.
However, games giant Nintendo, which produces the Mario franchise, does not seem to be involved in any kind of official partnership, external with the Niagara project.

Those behind the Niagara Speedway say they are modelling their design on a similar race track called the Heavy Metal High Rise in Missouri.
