The Traitors US cast: Meet the celebrities taking part in the American version

Reality TV fans will recognise the Traitors and Faithfuls taking part in The Traitors US, coming to BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.

The Traitors US is coming to iPlayer to fill the hole in Faithful fans’ lives, with a cast that is sure to provide plenty of drama around the Round Table.

The American version of The Traitors will arrive on BBC iPlayer from Friday 13 January, with all episodes available to binge at once. Friday the 13th is considered unlucky to some – and it’s definitely going to be unlucky for the first cast members murdered.

The Traitors US cast mixes some familiar faces from American reality shows like The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Below Deck and Big Brother with ordinary people from across the United States.

The Good Wife and Spice World: The Movie star Alan Cumming hosts the US version of the reality show. Like with the British version, The Traitors US sees its cast living in a remote Scottish castle.

The cast will have to take part in a series of tasks to build up a prize pot worth up to $250,000 (£205,000), while trying to determine who are ‘Faithful’ players and who are the ‘Traitors’ trying to eliminate the competition. The Faithful will share the prize fund if they banish all the Traitors – but if a Traitor wins, they take all the money.

The American version of the series is hosted by Alan Cumming.

Though he has had a selection of accents in his acting work, from German in X-Men 2 to American in The Good Wife, Alan was actually born in Perthshire, Scotland – making him a perfect choice to preside over the many shenanigans in a Scottish castle The Traitors US has to offer. 

Outside of the show, Cumming is better known as an actor from roles in the Spy Kids trilogy, the James Bond film Goldeneye and the cult classic teen comedy Romy and Michelle's High School Reunion.

Luxury real estate agent (and former professional racecar driver) Arie found fame after coming second in the 2012 season of American reality show The Bachelorette.

That dating show encourages people to be faithful with their hearts – but that does not necessarily mean that Arie will be a Faithful on The Traitors US.
