Your ru-cap of every look from the ‘Bing-oh No She Better Don’t’ runway of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series 4 episode 3
The RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series four contestants had to deliver looks in pairs in episode three for this year's design challenge. After all, as Michelle Visage’s former girl band Seduction once said, “it takes two to make a thing go right.”
Some of the series four queens found a match made in heaven this week on BBC Three, while others were in double trouble.
The following contains spoilers for RuPaul's Drag Race UK series four, episode three, but does not reveal who goes home.
Drag Race UK last week saw the cast wearing their finest neon pieces, but episode three saw them celebrating a whole new batch of colours. This week’s design challenge was bingo themed, with RuPaul serving bingo caller realness.
Ru picked the 10 remaining cast members out of a bingo spinner to decide who was paired with who, and then the five pairs got assigned one of five different coloured boxes of fabric – black, green, blue, gold or purple. They had to turn these boxes into beautiful matching outfits for this week's runway, where none other than supermodel, fashion commentator and activist Leomie Anderson would be judging them.
Sminty Drop was left ‘in a state’ (that’s 28 in bingo lingo) by her blue box, while Dakota Schiffer and Baby were left at the ‘gateway to heaven’ (27) with the contents of their black box. Though they made matching outfits, the pairs were judges individually – meaning everyone had to stand out or be stepped over by their drag sisters.
Let’s get our dabbers out and look at a full house of fierce looks as the 10 remaining RuPaul’s Drag Race UK queens serve 'Bing-oh She Better Don’t' realness. Here’s every look that came to the runway on series four, episode three.
Le Fil and Sminty Drop - blue

Sminty and Le Fil's episode three runway was a swimwear sensation
Sminty and Le Fil certainly did not leave the judges blue with their retro swimwear-inspired ensembles. The pair looked like sickening synchronised swimmers, proving that (as Michelle said), “two sarongs make a right.” The pair even made their own jewellery for the occasion.
Alan Carr said he usually thinks blue is a “meh” colour. But Sminty and Le Fil’s blue bonanza changed his mind. He also added that if he had Sminty’s body, he would wear the garment to take the bins out. Michelle, meanwhile, thought the outfits were nearly flawless, while fashionista Leomie gave Le Fil the highest praise: "If this top goes missing, don't come looking for me because I love it."
Dakota Schiffer and Baby - black

Dakota and Baby were back in black on RuPaul's Drag Race UK this week
Dakota Schiffer and Baby were sassy in dupe Versace as they channelled the black looks the fashion house brought to the runway in 1992. This is clearly a beloved reference for Dakota specifically, who got her drag surname from Versace muse Claudia Schiffer.
The queens may have had fashion on their minds, but Alan had food on his – he called the look a “chicken tikka lasagna” – it shouldn’t work but it does. This week’s Drag Race UK guest judge Leomie, meanwhile, simply called it a “supermodel serve” – and she should know, having walked high-fashion runways around the world.
Cheddar Gorgeous and Copper Topp - gold

Copper and Cheddar were bold in gold in this week's design challenge
Cheddar and Copper went for gold – and one of them made it onto the podium of the week’s best looks on Drag Race UK.
The pair had the concept of superhero and supervillain, with Copper channelling Barbarella, a 1960s cult movie starring Jane Fonda as a space-travelling supervixen who fights the forces of evil mostly dressed in nothing but a swimsuit and go-go boots. This explains why Copper decided to go for white boots. Leomie loved that Copper sold the garment with her hand movements, joking that she loves to do the same thing so much that people call her "Leomie Handerson."
If Copper was a vamping vixen, then Cheddar was a villainous vamp, on her way to galactic domination. Alan thought the details on her bodice looked like “molten gold,” while Michelle praised her for realising a whole character with her look. This ensemble also calls back to her "Ru Are You" look from the series four premiere, in which she also took inspiration from science-fiction.
Danny Beard and Pixie Polite - purple

Danny and Pixie looked pretty in purple this week
Danny and Pixie’s bingo realness saw them channelling two big ladies, with figure-hugging dresses they said were serving “plus-sized perfection.”
Their vision for the look was “drunk aunt who was asked to model at the local shopping centre,” while the judges joked they were “Olsen twins gone to the dark side.” However you want to describe it, it was enough to make them episode three’s only safe pair.
Black Peppa and Jonbers Blonde - green

Black Peppa and Jonbers weaved their way down the catwalk
Black Peppa and Jonbers hoped to leave the judges green with envy with their woven wares. After all, both have a huge passion for fashion – Jonbers has worked for a number of fashion magazines, while Black Peppa is one of the look queens of the series.
So it is no surprise that their plans were ambitious. Jonbers said her vision for their ensembles was “mint green high-fashion lewks,” while Black Peppa wanted to bring “woven apple pie realness.” This meant that Pepper spent most of series four, episode three weaving their fabric into a dress for her and a bra and skirt combination for Jonbers.
