Obsessed with music from an early age, Navin has been singing since the age of 14, despite having no formal training. He was born and bred in the UK, loves to sing in Hindi and also looks to use English and Punjabi in his music. Recently he has also started to compose and write his own songs. Sources of inspiration include Sonu Nigam, Michael Jackson, AR Rehman, The Rishi Rich Project and Raghav.

Navin won BBC Asian Network Unsung 2005 with a rendition of 'Feel' by Robbie Williams. Since winning, he's been finishing off a summer of exams at university as well as working on his own compositions. One of these new songs 'Lover's Rose' has now been professionally recorded and produced as part of his prize for Unsung, and it is this track which you can download as part of Summer Sounds.
