Have your say
Dr Masud tells Mary he’s pleased to be off Shazia’s leash, while she’s in Venice celebrating her 50th birthday. In the meantime, he has been going through old photos, which he’s going to organise as a surprise for Shazia. Some of the photos show Mary and her family. They agree to gather them up and have a proper trip down memory lane.
Meanwhile, Sway struggles to get the van started. Kuljit passes and cracks a joke, but when Sway says he’s going to be late for his first proper interview, Kuls offers to take a look. He manages to get ‘Basanti’ going again and awkwardly wishes a grateful Sway good luck as he heads off.
Elsewhere, Saffrons’ customers have been voting to bring back a ‘golden oldie’ recipe, and the locals have come up with some wacky suggestions. Rita comments that Brian and Sandra are clearly not keeping their relationship a secret. Rita’s interrupted by the front door, and gets a shock when answers it… it’s Suresh! There was no way he was missing the restaurant’s grand opening. And despite being an investor, he assures Pradeep he’s only here to share this big moment in Pradeep and Rita’s life. Pradeep has to dash off to meet Vinnie and go over the books. Meanwhile, Suresh hands out presents to his family. Roopa notices Kamla seems unhappy. She can’t hide her disappointment that her other son, Jai, isn’t there. He hasn’t made contact for a long time. Rita says Jai will turn up one day, and Suresh reluctantly agrees…
