While Kamla has words with Roopa about the state of the kitchen, Rita’s a bit snappy herself. She’s also in a rush to a conference, where she’s doing some translating. Kamla can tell that Rita and Pradeep are stressed out with trying to secure the restaurant. Later, Rita interrupts a busy kitchen to urge Pradeep to call Suresh and ask for a loan. Pradeep refuses to go cap in hand, but Rita’s anxious not to miss this opportunity – time’s running out!
Nadia catches Sway alone with his thoughts in the park. Sway’s had a rejection for a studio job. Nadia offers her support and says she understands what his work means to him. Sway tells Nadia all about Jodie’s recent problems at the café; the fake meal deal vouchers, the cockroaches. It’s like someone has been out to get them. When Sway tentatively asks Nadia if she had anything to do with it, Nadia feels hurt and angry. She suggests Sway may be paranoid.
During a shopping trip with Kamla, Roopa gets excited about the prospect of her family owning the restaurant. She even starts planning her role as Manager! They bump into Khatija and the two old friends trade cookery insults and enjoy some much missed banter. Kamla shares her sympathies with Khatija about Nadia’s recent problems. Kamla then spots Nadia with Sway and wonders if they are back together. Khatija vows to find out what’s going on…
