Sway and Jodie shiver at the band stand. Cold and fearing being spotted, Sway takes them someone warmer. He finds an old warehouse, which has particular significance for both of them, and Kuljit. It’s the place where Jodie fed the two lads, when they were strays from London in a new town. Jodie worries that Kuljit won’t cope with being just friends, and they agree it’s hard to have fun sneaking around all the time. As they think about the past and what might have been, Jodie’s phone rings. It’s Kuljit. Sway heads off, remembering he’s late for a drink with his mate. Meanwhile, Jodie and Kuljit talk, but Jodie is evasive. They agree they should talk further… another time.
At the Crown, Kuljit chats with Brian about tomorrow’s poker night. Brian also dismisses Sean’s new customer care initiative. Kuljit opens up about Jodie, and Brian warns Kuls it’s a rocky path staying friends with an ex. Sway finally arrives and asks what the hot topic of conversation is for tonight. Kuljit says they’ve covered everything but the subject of finding true love. Brian says that’s a good place to start.
