A group of Silver Streeters are about to head off to Reading for the weekend. They’ll be taking part in a weekend-long quiz and trying to win the star prize - a new minibus for the Parkside.
Outside the Parkside centre, Jungli, Bibi, Deepika and Roopa are waiting for Vinnie and Mary. Jungli’s bragging about his driving skills. He’s also a dab hand at fixing vans if they break down! Vinnie and Mary finally show up and the group gets on the road. On the way, Vinnie complains about Deepika’s fast driving. Meanwhile, Jungli chats up Deepika and Deepika strings him along. Bibi’s busy promoting Jungli’s qualities to Mary and Roopa.
The group arrives at the hotel, just in time to dump bags and start the quiz. Deepika assigns rooms. Deepika takes the single, and Bibi, Mary and Roopa share a 3-bed. This leaves the two guys together. Bibi asks Jungli why he’s so keen to take part in the quiz. Jungli says he wants to do well for the Parkside. As the group head down to start the quiz, Jungli sneaks off to make a call to Maxine, the woman he’s been hiding from Bibi. He says he wants to meet up. He really wants to make things work between them. Maxine surprises Jungli by suggesting they meet up immediately.
