Jodie tells Mary that they’ve not told Mani about her and Kuljit splitting up; they don’t want to ruin his break in India. Sway enters as Jodie is about to leave and she asks him why he wasn’t at the bonfire display. Sway makes up an excuse saying he was busy getting the studio ready for their big artist this week. After Jodie has gone, Mary expresses her concerns to Sway about Kuljit’s erratic behaviour at the bonfire party. Sway says he may just have been preoccupied with other things.
Simran’s had a call from her parents who think they should have a big 4th birthday party for Kesar. She’s even found the venue in Southall. Jaggy is adamant they can’t afford it and besides he can’t take a break in the middle of the season. Later at the café, Simran tells Jodie that her husband has turned into a scrooge, business is a bit slow but that doesn’t mean Kesar shouldn’t have a birthday celebration. Jodie mentions that Kuljit is avoiding her but she couldn’t be dishonest with him any longer, he’s not the one for her. She’s just about to say who is until Sway interrupts them wanting to know if his artist has arrived.
