Jodie gives Roopa until the weekend to decide if she wants a job at the café. Deepika advises Roopa to use whatever talents she has to get a job and to get ahead. Jodie sarcastically tells Deepika she’s surprised to see her. Surely she should be fixing the problems at the Parkside. Deepika coolly replies Rome wasn’t built in a day.
Meanwhile, Krishan and Roopa are arguing again. Krishan blurts out to Rita that Roopa spends time on the phone to weirdos, as Bunty. Roopa insists she doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Rita vows to get to the bottom of it.
At Saffron Rays, Kuljit’s touchy when Vinnie asks if everything’s ok. Vinnie was only referring to his meal. Vinnie mentions that Jodie’s not going to the fireworks on Friday. She doesn’t want to upset Kuljit. Kuljit insists he doesn’t need protecting. Later at the café, Kuljit asks Jodie to come to the display. Jodie’s glad they can be friends. Deepika and Kuljit meet and talk business. Deepika mentions the studio has done well from the Parkside. Kuljit’s quick to point out that he’s put in the hard work. Deepika notices that Kuljit keeps looking over at ‘the waitress’. She suggests Kuljit asks her out…to take his mind off things!
