Roopa takes a deep breath and answers her next call as ‘Bunty’ at home. At first she’s fine, but as the caller gets more persistent, Roopa loses her cool and finally cuts him off. Then Roopa’s nervous when her own phone rings. It’s just Bina though, checking on her protégé.
At Mani’s, Kuljit is numb following his talk with Jodie last night. Jodie tries to get Kuljit to say something but he just gets up and leaves. He says he knows who’s to blame. Later, Kuls sits in his van alone and cries. As Sway approaches and calls out to him, Kuljit drives away oblivious.
Sway asks Jodie what she’s said to Kuljit. Jodie tells Sway it’s none of his business. But it is if she’s told Kuljit about the two of them. Jodie’s been drinking and reveals she’s broken up with Kuljit. Kuljit believes all the fault lies with himself – Jodie’s innocent. Sway tells Jodie she may be prepared to ruin her relationship over a one night stand, but he isn’t. Jodie tells Sway her decision to break it off had nothing to do with him. Kuljit’s going to need his best mate’s shoulder when he gets back from wherever he’s gone.
As Sway goes to leave, Jodie asks him who he would have chosen if Kuls hadn’t liked her. Sway admits it would have been Jodie, and leaves before history gets any closer to repeating itself.…
