Brian’s convinced he missed a phone call while Sean was vacuuming. When he checks, it’s a withheld number. Later on, Brian tells Sean he’s doing a grand job running the pub – but Sean says there’s more to life. He’d like to be more like Brian, but Brian points out that his life isn’t as problem-free as it might seem – is his struggling property business in Spain causing him serious trouble?
Jodie’s telling Simran about her dress alterations, but Sim’s distracted thinking about Brian – it’s sad that a man of his age is all alone. Perhaps all his talk of being better off single is just a front. They talk about the randomness of finding a partner – and all the alternative possibilities – who knows who you might end up with – when you find the right person you should hold on them.
