At the Akhtar house, preparations are in full swing for Pradeep’s party. Sway turns up to help, but without Nadia.
Hassan is giving Shazia a cookery lesson – she’s excited about having the boys over and enjoying their first proper Eid as a family with Hassan. They decide to look at the diary for wedding dates, but that’ll have to wait – they’ve got to get over to Pradeep’s party. Hassan can’t wait to see his face. Jas lures Pradeep back to the house, where the assembled group gives him a ‘surprise!’ cheer. He’s delighted, and wastes no time getting on the karaoke machine.
Later on, Hassan and Shazia look at dates. Her diary is chock-a-block, so Hassan makes a spur of the moment suggestion to just go ahead and get married this weekend – he can call in a favour from a patient who’s an Imam. After a bewildered moment, Shazia says they should do it!
