Jas and Roopa are planning a surprise party for Pradeep. It’s hard to keep things secret though, with Pradeep hanging around, trying to get them to come and see Uncle Rajan (to marry them off to a resident’s eligible grandson?!)
Hassan is tending to a sick Shazia. Shazia is determined to get better in time for Eid – whichever day it actually falls on – Hassan can’t understand why it seems to fall on 3 days in this country – why can’t the Mullah’s agree?
Pradeep dances Dandia with Roopa, as they prepare to teach the old folks at Rajan’s. Pradeep reluctantly agrees to celebrate his birthday, although it doesn’t feel right without the whole family there. Jas pays Nadia a visit to get some ribbons for her dandia sticks. Nadia can’t find any and gets frustrated. Jas asks her if she’s ok. It’s not the ribbon – Zak’s not coming home for Eid, and Nadia’s convinced it’s her fault.
