Bibi drops round to see Hassan. The food he’s preparing smells so good that she’s tempted to stay. He’s rescued by the beep of Jungli’s taxi, arriving to take Bibi to Zenab’s house. Bibi’s brought food with her - she tells Zenab she shouldn’t be eating alone. Zenab tries to explain that Imran and Luca are coming round for Iftari but Bibi insists she should be with people of her own age. As a fellow widower she understands what she’s going through. She’s brought Zenab a yoga mat; it’s vital for her to keep her body and mind fit. Bibi’s going to make it her duty to look after Zenab’s welfare.
Hassan presents Shazia with the shawl but the evening doesn’t quite go to plan when he spills hot oil down his trousers. Shazia tells him to take off his trousers why she finds some ice. Unable to find any ice in the freezer she resorts to using a pack of peas to soothe his thigh. The scene’s not quite as he’d envisaged but a trouserless Hassan asks Shazia to marry him, he explains that he’s already got her family’s approval. An emotional Shazia accepts.
