An excited Jodie tells Arun that her ‘inner girlie’ dreaming of a fairytale wedding must have been there all along. She’s annoyed that Sway doesn’t seem happy about the engagement (he hasn’t even congratulated her) - she comes to the conclusion that he’s struggling to come to terms with his best mate settling down.
Hassan visits Jilani Fashions to buy a present for Shazia and Bibi picks out a beautiful shawl. He invites Shazia round to his for Iftari tomorrow night. She tells him she’ll be working late that night, she’s got a charity iftari meal for the women’s refuge centre, can’t they make it the weekend instead? Hassan tells her he’s already bought all the ingredients, he’s planned some very special dishes. It’s impossible for Shazia to say no.
Kuljit’s still struggling to come clean with Jodie - if he calls the wedding off now she’ll hate him. He’s hoping that Jodie will get cold feet once her ‘hippy side’ kicks in but Arun’s not so sure. Jodie turns up to ‘talk’ to Kuljit but it’s not what he’s expecting - her parents never married and it’s made her want to do things properly & the sooner the better.
