Sitaray are rehearsing for their opening gig in Manchester. They’re not sounding too good and their lead singer, Bobby, hasn’t even turned up yet. But the band is feeling confident and view Kuljit and Sway as naïve youngsters; they were playing together when Kuls and Sway were in nappies! Sway gives them some home truths about how the rehearsal sounded, they need to get their act together. Kuljit warns Sway to go easy on the band, they’re artists, they have to be treated a certain way. But Sway says they’re not managing J Lo, Sitaray are a group of middle-aged men who should know better! Kuljit tells him it’s a case of knowing when to listen and when to speak out but Sway wonders when Kuljit is going to ‘speak out’ about Bobby’s absence. Sway knows it’s difficult for Kuls being a friend of Bobby’s and accepts that he’s been through a rough time with the loss of his wife but his attitude is affecting the whole band.
Makhan tells Kuljit it’s useless rehearsing without their singer. Kuljit is struggling to convince them to stay when Bobby finally turns up. A relieved Kuljit tells Sway he knew Bobby would never let them down but Sway’s reserving judgement until tomorrow’s gig.
