Danyal is still on at Rehan about their mother’s lack of taste in men. Rehan admits that Dr Hassan’s view that dentists weren’t really proper doctors did get to him. Hassan is worried that Shazia’s sons didn’t really take to him but she assures him that the fact she hasn’t heard anything from them following last night’s meal is a good thing.
The film crew have sent up camp at the Parkside Centre and people are already lining up to be extras in the film. Binas elaborated about her skills on her application form to be an extra, claiming she can fence, horse-ride and drive. Danyal asks Bina about Dr Hassan, she thinks he’s a nice guy.
Shazia asks Rehan whether he enjoyed last night’s meal. Rehan tells her that Hassan’s quite direct. Shazia says that’s just the way he is, like over the issue of ordering food but she points out that he usually makes the right choice. But Rehan wonders if what’s ‘right’ for Hassan is necessarily ‘right’ for his mother.
