Rehan and Danyal are home for a couple of weeks and Shazia’s really pleased to have her boys home. They’re celebrating the news that Rehan has successfully secured a bank loan to enable him to buy into dental practice. Shazia’s booked a table at Saffron Rays for the evening.
Bibi accosts Dr. Hassan in the street complaining about her knees cracking. She tells him about the stranger she saw taking photos in Silver Street. Dr. Hassan suggests he might be an architectural student or a street photographer.
Rehan says it’s a shame that Nana-ji couldn’t make the celebratory meal at Saffron Rays. Shazia explains that he’s at a reunion in Sheffield. Danyal suggests getting some menus to order but Shazia tells him to wait – somebody joining them. There’s someone she would like them to meet – Dr Hassan. Shazia goes to greet Hassan as he enters the restaurant. Danyal doesn’t like the look of him, he looks far too ‘flash’ for their liking, Danyal decides their mum needs saving.
