Having to take Rajan to the toilet is starting to take its toll on Rita, she breaks down. Rajan hears her crying. He’s sorry for all the stress he’s causing her and decides to take up the offer of the shared ownership home. He could still see his family and even after buying the flat he’d have money to leave to Rita. Rita tells Pradeep she feels guilty for not trying to stop him, he only offered because he heard her crying. She’s worried what others will think about her, they should be looking after their own. They’ll just have to tell people that Rajan’s gone back to his home in Leicester.
Arun goes round to the Akhtars’ to check that Roopa isn’t helping Aidan out. He wants Roopa to ring Diane to come and sort him out. She agrees to call her.
Debbie from the shared ownership home comes round to pick Rajan up. He seems cheerful and talks about getting a haircut before he moves in. He even offers to make everyone a cup of tea whilst they go over all the paperwork. Kamla helps him in the kitchen and wonders if he is doing the right thing. Rajan knows he’s doing the right thing.
