Arun breaks in to Uncle Rajan’s house in Leicester. Rita and Pradeep are shocked that their son knows how to pick locks in the first place! Rita sends Arun upstairs to pick up Rajan’s dirty laundry and she sends Pradeep to check the smell coming from the fridge whilst she rings him.
Uncle Rajan gets in a state over the phone, he desperately wants the cushion with the stars on until his neighbour Patricia grabs the phone. She wants confirmation from Rajan about who these people are, in case they are thieves. Patricia then reveals that Rajan locked himself out in his dressing gown a few months ago so she checks on him regularly and he’s always talking about them and how he always looks forward to seeing them.
Back home, Roopa finds the front door open. She runs out to look for Uncle Rajan and finds him in the middle of the zebra crossing, he got lost, he just wanted to go shopping. He seems confused so Roopa tells him she’s taking him home.
Pradeep gives Patricia their phone number in case the same thing happens again. Patricia has already told Rajan that he needs some help in the house but he’s refused, maybe because of the cost or a carer stealing from him. Meanwhile upstairs, Arun discovers thousands of notes under Uncle Rajan’s mattress. Roopa calls them to explain what has happened in Silver Street and this confirms to Rita that their lives are going to turn upside down.
