Carter goes in search of Mani despite Kuljit saying that they came with Stephen and dropped him off at the station yesterday. Carter will not be humiliated in his own home. Stephen warns Mani to run but Carter catches him red handed with the master tapes. They have an argument in front of everyone and Carter resorts to calling Security again but Mani insists the tapes are his and he wants them back.
Stephen, Kuljit and Sway wade in on the Security guards who have Mani. Stephen confronts Carter, he can’t believe he stole what was Mani’s. Carter thinks Mani is just a mad man and if he doesn’t leave, the police will be called. Kuljit doesn’t think it’ll look good having his bash raided by the cops and Mani revealing the truth to all of the music companies. Sway suggests even telling the rest of the guests what a thief Carter is.
Carter gives in and hands Mani back the tapes. Mani insists he wants the rights to them too and he wants it all in writing. As Carter signs a paper, he continues to rant at Mani saying he’s not changed, he’s still as clueless as ever. Mani retaliates, he thought they both shared the same view of the world but he realises now that his free spiritedness was just selfishness and he’s not changed.
They all leave and a woman recognises Mani outside, she hands him her card as she has her own label now and was interested in his work back in the day. Mani is ready to get hours booked into Kuljit’s studio straightaway!
