Sameer and Rozena wait nervously at the clinic for the scan. Rozena is wishing desperately for a boy, for her dad, but feels terrible for even thinking about it. She can’t put Adam out of her mind either, making her even more nervous. As soon as they see the 3D image of the baby though, all her fears are forgotten. Seeing their little boy kicking his legs brings tears to both their eyes. Rozena decides to have a copy of the scan photo framed to put beside Mushtaq’s bed as a constant reminder of how much he has to live for.
Imran returns home to find some visitors. Isabel and Luca are waiting for him. Seeing his shock, Hassan and Shazia make themselves scarce in Hassan’s bedroom and speculate about who the visitors are. Downstairs Isabel wants to know why Imran broke his promise to Luca and stayed away. Is Imran going to honour their agreement and look after his son while she goes to college? Imran assures her that nothing has changed; he’s looking forward to it.
Meanwhile upstairs, Shazia asks Hassan if he’ll come with her to visit Mushtaq. He looks at her curiously but she’s quick to reassure him. Mushtaq is a dear friend, nothing more.
