Doctor Hassan apologises again for mistaking Imran for an intruder. There have been some teenage gangs hanging around Silverhill and you can’t be too careful. Imran points out hanging out in a group doesn’t equate to being in a ‘gang’. Dr Hassan reminds Imran he’s been away for a while and things have changed round here. He also asks if Imran is seeing his parents today. Imran reckons he’ll reacquaint himself with the area first and see if it’s changed as much as he’s being told.
Imran is walking down Silver Street and sees the scaffolding at Parkside. He wonders what happened to the roof. Sway spots him and shouts out. Imran takes a deep breath before turning around. Sway fills Imran in on how Aidan fell off the roof and the Health and Safety Executive getting involved. Imran thinks Sway seems a bit jaded. Sway admits he is and then wonders if Imran wants his old job back. Imran reckons he doesn’t really know what he wants. For now he is happy to just wander around the centre for old time’s sake. Later Sway tells Jodie that Imran is back. Sway adds it seems everyone went off and chased their dreams while he was stuck here. He had the same dream as Kuljit once. He could have been producing music too but instead he is doing a job that ‘just happened’.
Dr Hassan is surprised to see Imran back so early. He thought he would be celebrating his return with the family. Imran admits he is putting it off because he doesn’t know how they’ll react to each other after all this time. Dr Hassan agrees. Sometimes it’s easier to spend time with friends or strangers. But in the end you discover the only person you were really running away from is yourself. He’s been there!
Elsewhere Sway is telling Kuljit his days at Parkside might be numbered. And if Imran did want his job back how much would it really bother Sway? Kuljit reckons this is the perfect time for his friend to quit the centre and get involved in the studio. Sway reckons he might be right. It’s never too late to follow your dream….
