Sean can’t believe Zak is packing to go to Pakistan. Zak tells him he can stay in the house but will need to advertise for a housemate to help with the rent. Zak doesn’t mind who it is as long as they are ‘hassle-free’. Sean reckons he’ll move in to Zak’s bedroom if that’s OK and then asks if Nadia knows yet. She doesn’t and Zak says he might phone her first to soften the blow. When Zak calls Nadia is busy with work and poor Zak can’t get a word in edgeways.
Elsewhere Jas tells Roopa it’s great to be back but Arun’s bed isn’t exactly comfortable. Roopa wonders if coming home might be a backwards step. Jas reckons she has grown up a lot leading Roopa to ask if you are less likely to make mistakes when you get older. Jas guesses Roopa might be trying to figure something out and reminds her she is here if Roopa needs to talk. Later Jas sees Sean writing his advert and can’t believe her luck. When can she move in? Sean says Zak is going at the end of the week but Jas can move her stuff in anytime she likes. And she can collect keys this afternoon.
Roopa visits Aidan at the hospital and tells him she can’t keep pretending they are OK anymore. Everyone assumes Roopa is strong enough for both of them but she is falling apart. She ate loads last night and then made herself vomit after swearing she would never do that again. Aidan desperately reminds Roopa she promised she wouldn’t leave him.
Jas turns up at the Akhtars with a huge suitcase saying there’s more stuff to come. She also printed off all her photos of America as they’ll brighten up the lounge. Jas asks Sean to take the case up to her room – it’s the one that Zak is vacating. Sean protests but Jas says she needs space. Sean heads upstairs muttering something about ‘hassle-free’ housemates.
Roopa ignores all Aidan’s pleas. She’ll call in a couple of weeks when her exams are over. In the meantime Aidan should tell his parents about his drug habit so they can help him now. Roopa kisses Aidan goodbye. She is going home…..
