It’s New Year’s Day and at the Chauhans, Pradeep is struggling to get into the bathroom with the extra people in the house and Jas takes the opportunity of asking him more about the mysterious circumstances of Aidan’s accident. She’s sure that Roopa knows more than she’s letting on and it’s strange that Aidan’s parents haven’t been to visit him yet considering he could have died. Pradeep wishes that Suresh wasn’t around to witness the latest drama surrounding the family as Rita worries about the bad impression they must give but Jas hints that Suresh’s family aren’t as perfect as he thinks. The bathroom door opens suddenly and Pradeep dashes upstairs. As Greg puts the coffee on Jas confides her concerns about Roopa and Aidan’s relationship, hoping she’ll open up to her if something’s wrong.
Meanwhile in the football club’s dressing room Rozena gives the hung-over players a lecture on their drunken behaviour the night before their big match and promises they’ll be finished at the club if it ever happens again.
Later that afternoon, Pradeep, Jas and Greg watch the match from the ‘Mukesh Dattani Executive Box’ and are cheering on the jaded players and teaching Greg the rules of the game when Rozena joins them. Kenny wasn’t too happy that she’d spoken to the players about their drunken antics, as that’s his job, and she’s surprised they haven’t collapsed by now. She jokes about Suresh wanting his money back for the executive box and thinks Rita must be pleased to have him around again but Pradeep tells her they feel they’re the embarrassing relatives. Fired up by his comments Jas blurts out that Suresh isn’t so perfect before Greg drags her off to grab a hot drink. Jas thinks her mum should know the truth about Suresh but Greg warns her how Rita would feel if she knew both of her brothers were deceitful.
At full time Pradeep congratulates Rozena on the team’s win and intends celebrating with a bag of greasy chips which makes Rozena feel quite queasy. He sympathises and admits that he knows about her pregnancy after overhearing her telephone conversation with Rita. Rozena’s keeping the news a secret from her parents until the twelve-week scan and wishes she could enjoy the pregnancy but after what happened last time she’s scared.
